Lotte Mart Shopping Mall in District 7 (also called Lotte Mart District 7, Lotte Mart Nguyen Huu Tho, or Lotte Mart South Saigon) is a US$75-million venture and the first supermarket opened by Lotte Shopping in Vietnam. On 18th December 2008, they inaugurates Lotte Mart District 7 which was Vietnam’s biggest shopping center. Located in South Saigon, this mall has been one of the top shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City the popular place for locals and visitors including many rich people and expats to go shopping, entertain and enjoy great foods.

Address: 469 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Tan Hung Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The mall is about 5 km from District 1 – the city center. It is located at the corner of Nguyen Huu Tho and Nguyen Thi Thap Streets – 2 most expensive streets in South Saigon.

Building and architecture

The L-shaped building of Lotte Mart District 7 with the round corner where visitors can see the name sign of Lotte Mart in red color. The modern and stunning glass and alloy facade also impress customers. The open area around the building is large and used for flea market and parking. While other malls in the city center have parking areas in basements, Lotte Mart District 7 has a spacious outdoor motorcycle, bicycle and car parking. The building has 3 floors and a total area of 34,000 m2 including 15,800 m2 supermarket and the remaining area for leasing.

Lotte Mart suppermarket spreads over 2 floors: the ground and the first floors. Fashion and accessories and some cafes, L choice convenience store are located on the ground floor. Fahasha Bookstore, a toy store, lifestyle store, an electronics store, an indoor playground for kids, a game center are placed on the first floor. On the second floor, visitors can find many restaurants, a few cafes and CGV Cinema complex.

Most of the fashion and accessories stores are located on the ground floor and there are not as many fashion stores and brand names as other shopping malls such as Takashimaya and Vincomcenter Dong Khoi. However, there are enough things customers would like to buy at a mall: clothes for men, women, children, underwears, shoes, jewelry, eyeswear, luggages.

The food court serving Korean, Japanese, Vietnames, Chinese Western prepared meals, baked cakes. The dining area are spacious, furnished with wood tables and chairs and decorated with bamboo ceiling lights. The supermarket provide dried, fresh and live seafood in tanks. It also has the Be Goods store selling Korean products, most of which are foods and drinks.

In the supermarket on the first floor (L2), there is a large indoor playground for kids with slide, bus model, an area for kids to play and create.
